The north coastal town of Charlottenlund is on the outskirts of the Danish capital of Copenhagen. The town has a racecourse, just north of Charlottenlund Forest, which is known locally as Lunden and hosts Trotting races. The Danish Trotting Club was established in 1891 and the track now holds weekly trotting races which usually have Danish horses and jockeys. However, at various times throughout the year the track hosts International meetings when they welcome horses and jockeys from the rest of Europe or America.

The Principal races at the track are the Danish Trotting Derby and the Copenhagen Cup.

If you have photos, postcards, racecards. badges, newspaper cuttings or book references about the old course, or can provide a photo of how the ground on which the old racecourse stood looks today, then email johnslusar@fsmail.net
